FDDI Chennai was established in the year 1968 and works under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India. It is a public institute with a campus in Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The institute is awarded prestigious certifications and accreditations such as ISO:17025 accreditation by DAkkS- Germany, SATRA Technology Center- UK, ISO 9001 and ISO 14000 Certification and Bureau of Indian Standard Certification among various others. The FDDI Chennai courses are offered to interested candidates at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. There are a total of 03 courses offered to students in the stream of footwear design and production. All the courses are available to students in a regular, offline mode. The FDDI Chennai admission is offered to all of its programmes based on a candidate's performance in the last qualifying exam as well as the entrance exams like AIST and UCEED. For admission to UG courses, candidates must have passed class 12 in the relevant stream from a recognised board. They must have a graduate degree in the relevant stream to become eligible for PG courses.
