National Institute of Foundry & Forge Technology also known as NIFFT is located Near Kanchnatoli, Hatia, Ranchi. NIFFT is set up by Govt. of India in the year 1966 in collaboration with UNDP-USESCO. NIFFT is registered as Society under the Societies Registration Act of 1860. NIFFT offers B.Tech degree in Metallurgy & Materials Engineering and Manufacturing Engineering, M.Tech degree in Environmental Engineering, Foundry Forge Technology, Manufacturing Engineering and Materials Science & Engineering, Advanced Diploma Courses and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D).

NIFFT Admissions 2023: JEE Main 2023 session 2 provisional answer key is out now. JEE Main 2023 session 2 result will be released soon.

NIFFT provides B.Tech degree in two different specializations. The Candidates who are seeking admission in NIFFT has to clear both JEE-Main as well as JEE-Advanced. The final Selection shall be based on the candidate 12th result & JEE score followed by the counseling.

  • Candidates with First class or 60% (55% marks for SC/ST) marks in B.E./ B.Tech./ B.Sc. (Engineering) .

  • Candidate having an B.Tech. Degree from IITs and having a CGPA/CPI score of 8.00 (on 0-10 scale) and above are exempted from requirement of GATE qualification. They may be admitted to M.Tech. Programme under TA/RA positions through written test and/or interview.

NIFFT Ranchi Campus

NIFFT provides residential facilities are provided to students in four boys’ hostels can accommodate 866 boys and one girls’ hostel can accommodate 100 boys. NIFFT provides guest house which consists of NIFFT Niwas and PG Guest House. NIFFT Niwas is located behind the faculty building. It is a one-story building surrounded by a beautiful garden. It comprises of one Presidential suite and five double occupancy rooms.
